PRIMALOFT GOLD INSULATION
We can spend days on the pros and cons of breathability versus waterproofing. We could write books on duck down versus goose down versus synthetics. We won't bore you with information most of you know, but we will list an overview:

We decided to use PRIMALOFT for this reason. There are 3 standards of quality and we went straight for the best on the market, PRIMALOFT GOLD. ZIPPER ANTI-CHAFE GUARD
Nothing worse than having a zipper catch hair or skin. These guards help protect beards, skin, and long hair from getting caught in the zipper.
YKK ZIPPERS
We didn't even think twice about using the best zippers on the market.
DETACHABLE HOOD
There is a six-button connection for the hood. It can be attached and detached with ease. When there is no back and you are using the 2nd and 5th snap to connect your shoulder straps to your backpack, the hood still connects to the first and last snaps.
BACK STRAP
You can also use the back strap instead of connecting to your backpack.

It uses the same button snaps as the lower straps. You can't use both at the same time.
UNIVERSAL LOWER STRAPS
The lower straps can also be attached to your backpack and connect to the Pak-Jak at the lower snaps.
UNIVERSAL SHOULDER STRAPS
The upper straps hold the Pak-Jak in place. They can be attached to virtually any backpack you own and adjusted before leaving your house.
They stay attached to the backpack and connect to the Pak-Jak with a snap.
INTERCHANGEABLE MESH BACK PANEL
Although our design works and will be used mostly without a back, we are offering a mesh back panel.
This panel is completely interchangeable with the puffy back panel and uses the same YKK zippers.
This allows you to wear the Pak-Jak as a normal jacket while still getting some additional airflow to your back.
